Biographical Information: Dr Moira Scerri is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Supply Chain Management at the UTS Business School whose research centres on complex socio-technical service systems. She examines how people, technologies, organisations, physical infrastructure, governance arrangements and regulatory institutions interact to shape service delivery, value creation and system outcomes.
Moira applies this perspective to multi-occupancy living, with particular interests in strata governance, ageing in place, smart homes and buildings, asset maintenance, procurement, digital inclusion, and access to health and community services. Her research combines academic expertise with lived experience as the treasurer of a strata committee, providing practical insight into the financial, governance and operational challenges encountered by owners corporations and volunteer committee members. Working collaboratively with industry, government, community organisations and residents, Moira seeks to develop more sustainable, inclusive and resident-centred approaches to multi-occupancy living.
