Summary:

The purpose of this qualitative, four-round modified online Delphi technique study was to identify leadership competencies necessary for homeowner association board leadership and to develop a profile of competencies that may contribute to the development of a model of effectiveness. The research focused on homeowner associations in Fairfax County, Virginia. The findings contain the panel’s most preferred homeowner association board leadership competencies and the top 10 factors that might contribute to a model of homeowner association board of director effectiveness.
